About bradjwilliams

bradjwilliams started this conversation

I am a 20% disabled Army Veteran and a current college student. I am looking for free money to assist with college and general life while attending college. I am open to any type of program that may can make my life a little easier as my GIbill is just not adequate. I am also interested in small business opportunities/grants for veterans. I have rather poor credit due to making less than wise decisions while trying to excel in college. Any help or ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Have you filled out your FAFSA App Yet?  If you haven't, you have to fill it out in order to get a Pell Grant or a Staford Loan (low interest loan from the Govt. and you don't start paying it until after graduation)... Deadline is tomorrow! Have your school ID and your income taxes ready! takes about 30 mins. I hope this helps!

Application Priority Date

2010 - 2011 Academic Year Semester priority deadline dates are as follows:

Fall 2010 July 16, 2010
Spring 2011 October 15, 2010
Summer I, 2011 March 11, 2011
Summer II, 2011 March 11, 2011

In order to have their financial aid awarded before classes begin, students should have their processed FAFSA and all necessary documents to the financial aid office by the priority deadline.

  • If the priority date is missed, students should apply as soon as possible to be considered for financial aid that is still available, such as Pell Grants, Federal Student Loans and Direct PLUS loans.

My first suggeston would be a part time job. You may also want to contact the Veterans Administration, which aids veterans in many different things.
